The Garrett County Board of Education voted on January 12, 2021, to accept the Superintendent’s recommendation to remain in the “red model” in which students are learning virtually. Students will begin transitioning back to in-person learning when the Garrett County metrics are at 5% or less positivity rate and 15 or less per 100,000 for 14 consecutive days.

There have been 1,665 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Garrett County. Current metrics from the Garrett County Health Department are: 7-Day Positivity Percentage: 15.0%; 7-Day Case Rate Per 100,000: 51.2.

Classroom Supply Lists 2020 - 2021

Below are the classroom supply lists. Please note that some have been modified for a virtual opening. Once we return to in person, those teachers may have additional requests. Also, there is an "Art Supply List" that Mrs. DiGioia has added for virtual learning.
You will notice that we have removed the hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes from these lists. These items will be supplied for every classroom.
PreK Classroom Supply List - PreK is not asking for anything until students return in person. However, here is the list in case you would like to purchace supplies in advance.
Kindergarten Classroom Supply List - Kindergarten teachers have modified their list for a virtual opening
First Grade Classroom Supply List - This list has been updated for a virtual opening.
Third Grade Classroom Supply List - Please note: both teachers are new to 3rd grade at YG this year. This list may be updated as the new teachers get on board.
