Garrett County Student Leaders Visit Annapolis!

Student leaders from Northern High School, Southern High School, and Northern Middle School attended a GCASC sponsored event as they traveled to Annapolis on March 23 for Lobbying Day.  The original MASC sponsored Lobbying Day was to be held February 23 but was cancelled due to inclement weather.  Twenty-eight students and chaperons made the trip to Annapolis where they were treated to tours of the Capital Building and the Naval Academy.  They spent time observing House proceedings that took place in an originally unscheduled 10:00 a.m. bill review in the House.  Lunch was served in the Dahlgren Hall of the Naval Academy and students also toured downtown Annapolis prior to the conclusion of their day.
