NHS AP Environmental Receives Award

Northern Garrett High School AP Environmental Science Class is the recipient of 2014 Tawes Youth Award for a Clean Environment, cosponsored by the Maryland Department of the Environment, Maryland Petroleum Council and Maryland Department of Natural Resources.   Northern High School and Ms. Rebecca Kenyon-Sisler were nominated by Mr. Alan Klotz, DNR Western Region Inland Fisheries Manager.  Congratulations on this prestigious award, now in its 37th year!   
There will be an awards luncheon on Wednesday, May 21st, 2014 at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis, Maryland.  Teacher, staff and student representatives will be able to attend to receive this award from the sponsors.  The Maryland Petroleum Council will also make a $250 contribution to a non-profit on behalf of NHS.
