Opportunities for Student Leaders

There are several unique leadership opportunities for students who may be interested.  For some, previous leadership experience may not necessary.  For more specific information about any of these opportunities, please contact the office of Youth Development/Secondary Education at 301-334-8911 (Michelle Harman).
SMOB - Student Member on the Board of Education - available for qualified individuals who will be in grade 11/12 next school year
GCASC - Garrett County Association of Student Councils -  Officers - middle and high school opportunities for officers, previous experience required
MLW - Maryland Leadership Workshops - opportunities for summer workshops for middle and high school leaders, no experience necessary, scholarships may be available
AHEC/ECHO - summer camps for individuals interested in health and medicine, no experience necessary - grades 9 - 12
