Governor's Watershed Grant - NHS

Last Updated on Oct 10, 2013 at 4:41pm | Secondary Education

Students in Ms. Kenyon-Sisler's Honors II Biology and AP Environmental Science classes and Mr. Beitzel's Carpentry class along with Mrs. Mary Ann Umbel participated in a Day of Service as part of their pledge as recipients of the Governor's Watershed Mini-Grant 2013-2014.  Students, staff and DNR representative Alan Klotz worked to clean the Tim Umbel Memorial Trail of debris, remove litter, build and mount squirrel feeders and perform other maintenance.

As a part of the Grant, students will be continuing their work on Brook Trout and Stream Restoration in Cove Run and Youghiogheny River Watershed.

Look for more information on this project as we continue to build our new website!
