SCHOOL LUNCH

ProcedureExcept in one very small school, the Public Schools maintains modern kitchens and dining space in all schools which serve nutritious lunches at a minimal cost for children.
Garrett County serves National School Lunch Pattern lunches which are eligible for support in the form of surplus commodities and monetary reimbursement from the U. S. Department of Agriculture and the State of Maryland, and which meet federal nutritional standards fully. Kitchen facilities and kitchen personnel fully meet the sanitary requirements of the local health department.
