Administrative Procedure

Concerning the operation and maintenance of the trucks assigned to high schools, please note the following:

    1. Principals of the high schools are responsible for authorizing the use of these vehicles. Vehicles are to be driven only by properly licensed operators.

    2. Principals will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles are properly maintained. This will include both normal maintenance as well as repair maintenance. Before
        repair maintenance is performed, however, principals are to check with the Supervisor of Maintenance concerning the work to be done.

    3. The Public Schools will be responsible for paying for both the maintenance and insuring of these vehicles. All maintenance bills are to be signed by the principal
        and submitted to the Supervisor of Maintenance for approval for payment. Insurance for these vehicles will be included in the Public Schools fleet insurance

    4. Principals are encouraged to make maximum use of vehicles consistent with the serviceability of the vehicles.
