Administrative Procedure

Full-time (twelve-month) custodial employees may be assigned to temporary maintenance activities during the annual planned summer maintenance program.

In an effort to provide just compensation for the possible additional travel required the following guidelines will apply:

(1) Round trip mileage/reimbursement (at the current Board of Education rate) will be provided from the regular job site to the maintenance job site, or from a person's
     residence to the maintenance job site (which ever is less), when transportation is not provided through the board.

(2) The starting point for full-time maintenance personnel will be from the warehouse; however, the starting point may be adjusted based upon the specific job
     responsibility or work project.

(3) All employees are encouraged to car pool. Mileage reimbursement will be provided only to those persons operating approved vehicles.

(4) The duty day will commence and end at the assigned job site. For example: personnel reporting to Oakland area schools will report to the warehouse at 7:30 A.M. for
     duty assignments and 3:30 P.M., for dismissal. Start/end points may be adjusted for outlying areas.
