PUPIL SERVICES

Board Policy

The Public Schools maintains a Pupil Services Department which provides the usual personnel services for children. A large part of this service consists of the coordination of the many community services available to children: services offered by the Health Department, Mental Health Department, Department of Social Services, Department of Juvenile Justice and Office for Children, Youth and Families. The Department of Pupil Services also offers the following services: psychological, counseling, legal referral, special testing, special education, parent training, parent and teacher consultation, home/hospital teaching, and review of home instructions programs. This department also works with the law enforcement agencies on matters pertaining to school aged youngsters. The Pupil Services Department is responsible for overseeing the collection and maintenance of student information and data.
