Guidelines for Admission Gifted/Talented Students Under the Age of Sixteen Admitted to College Level Instruction
Administrative Procedure
All requests for admission to this program shall originate in writing from the candidate and shall have the approval of the parents or guardian.
All requests must be submitted 20 days prior to the beginning of the first course in which the student wishes to enroll.
The principal will forward all requests to the Director of middle and high schools.
The Director of middle and high schools will review the candidate's request and determine if he/she meets the condition for enrollment.
The candidate and the college or university shall be notified whether he/she is or is not eligible for enrollment 10 days prior to the course offering.
Factors to be considered when reviewing a candidate's application for admission to college level instruction:
Upon successful completion of course work the student will be eligible to re-enroll with prior approval of the Dean of Students and the Director of middle and high schools. (10 days prior to the beginning of the course)
