Maryland School Psychology Awareness Week: November 11-15

Last Updated on Nov 15, 2013 at 1:04pm | Pupil Services

In recognition of Maryland School Psychology Awareness Week, to be observed November 11-15, 2013, appreciation and gratitude is expressed to the school psychologists in Garrett County schools for the many services provided to the students, their families, and staff.  The work of the school psychologist contributes to the development of high quality programs for students with special needs through psychological evaluations, the assessment and development of individual behavior plans, and consultation with teachers and school staff.  Working with programs such as the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support, STAR, CPA, and the Alternative programs assist in meeting many student needs.  These exemplary services help us all to meet the goals of our Special Education and Comprehensive Pupil Services programs.
