Last Updated on Oct 31, 2013 at 10:38am | Pupil Services

Maryland state law has changed to attend school in September 2014…
Kindergarten students must have proof of 2 doses of varicella (chicken pox) or proof of immunity to varicella by providing the results of a blood test or a medical diagnosis indicating the month and year they had the disease.

Seventh-grade students will be required to have Meningococcus (MCV4 ) and tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis/whooping cough vaccinations (Tdap) to attend school.

Parents/guardians are encouraged to contact their health care providers to receive the mandatory immunizations or contact the Garrett County Health Department at 301-334-7777.

Contact your school’s nurse for more information.
