Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week
May 1st - 7th is Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week. The Maryland Coalition of Families urges all families to consider the mental health of their children, and especially at this difficult time of the COVID pandemic.
Their site, https://www.childrensmentalhealthmatters.org/ provides a wealth of tips, activities, and resources. These include ways for families to be alert to mental health concerns and activities to promote positive mental health for their children. For instance, you might have “Mental Health Mondays” for a special activity, or choose daily suggested activities for families from the Children's Mental Health Matters website captioned above. Take a few minutes each day this week to consider the mental health of the children and youth in our community.
