GCPS Schools Remain Closed through April 24, 2020

Governor Larry Hogan and State Superintendent of Schools Dr. Karen Salmon announced today (March 25, 2020) that all Maryland Public Schools will remain closed for an additional four weeks through April 24 in response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. In light of this announcement, all Garrett County Public Schools (GCPS) will adhere to the directive and remain closed through April 24, 2020.
The administrative leadership team and staff members in GCPS has been working on a plan to address the continuity of learning. As soon as the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) provides guidance on a timeline of implementation, GCPS will finalize our plan and communicate the details to all stakeholders including students, parents, and our staff.
