The Garrett County Board of Education will hold a Special Public Session on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. The meeting will be held virtually due to COVID-19 and Governor Hogan’s executive orders prohibiting public gatherings. The purpose of the meeting is to give the Board members an opportunity to provide input and questions regarding the FY2021 Superintendent’s Proposed Operating Budget and review the draft FY2020 Educational Facilities Master Plan. There is no public comment at this meeting.

The Board will meet in Executive Session from 4:00 p.m. to 4:55 p.m. The Board of Education will reconvene for public session from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. As a reminder, the public session is not open for in-person attendance except for certain Board members and GCPS staff. The meeting will instead be live-streamed for public viewing, and we invite all stakeholders to stay up-to-date via this format. The live-stream information will be available before the meeting begins and can be found on the Garrett County Public Schools website.
