Last Updated on Nov 9, 2017 at 11:43am | Public Information Office

Garrett County Public Schools Superintendent Barbara Baker plans to seek feedback from parents and the community regarding the strategic planning for the future success of the school system.

Ms. Baker will host a series of public dialogue sessions, during which she plans to gather input on a variety of topics. Participants will be asked the following questions:

  • What are Garrett County Public Schools doing well (Strengths)?
  • What areas present the greatest challenges for Garrett County Public Schools (Weaknesses)?
  • What needs to be in place in order to move the district forward (Opportunities)?
  • What do you see as the roadblocks to the success of the school system (Threats)?
  • How can the district best communicate to promote an open and transparent district culture?

All sessions are open to the public and are intended for parents and community members to provide honest and open feedback to the Superintendent. Sessions will take place in each of the schools and are one hour long with the exception of evening sessions, which are two hours.
