Proclamations at the Board of Education Meeting on November 14, 2017

The Garrett County Board of Education made several proclamations at its meeting on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. 

Veterans Day Proclamation - November 11, 2017

Mr. Matthew Paugh, Board Vice President, read a Veterans Day Resolution in honor of Veterans Day, November 11, 2017, which was signed by Board members and Ms. Barbara Baker, Superintendent of Schools.  Mr. Paugh presented the proclamation to First Sgt. Verle Wright, Southern High JROTC teacher, and Jeremy Groves, Southern High School cadet. View the Veterans Day proclamation.

American Education Week Proclamation – November 13-17, 2017

Mr. Thomas Woods, Board Member, read a Proclamation in honor of American Education Week, November 13-17, 2017, which was signed by Board members and Ms. Barbara Baker.  The Proclamation was a salute to the dedicated education employees of Garrett County Public Schools.  Mr. Woods presented the Proclamation to Dr. Patrick Damon, Garrett County Education Association president and teacher. National Education Support Professionals Day Proclamation – November 15, 2017

Dr. Nathan Sorber, Board Member, read a Proclamation in honor of National Education Support Professionals Day, November 15, 2017, which was signed by Board members and Ms. Barbara Baker.  Dr. Sorber presented the proclamation to Ms. Lois Lipscomb, GCEA ESP Vice President, and representative for school Education Support Professionals. School Psychologist Week Proclamation – November 13-17, 2017

Mrs. Charlotte Sebold, Board Member, read a Proclamation in honor of School Psychologist Week, November 13-17, 2017, which was signed by Board members and Ms. Barbara Baker.  Mrs. Sebold presented the proclamation to Dr. Phil Lauver, Supervisor of Pupil Services, and Dr. Allyson Martz, school psychologist.
