Employee Open Enrollment Information for 2017-2018 - IMPORTANT UPDATE!

For Garrett County Public School Employees/Retirees:

Open Enrollment will begin on May 1, 2017 and will end on May 12, 2017.  All documents must be returned to the Office of Human Resources by May 12, 2017.  An email has been sent to all active employees with Open Enrollment supporting documents attached.  All retirees have been mailed their Open Enrollment documents.

All Open Enrollment supporting documents can be accessed on the Board of Education’s website here on the left side of the main page under "Staff"  or via the Human Resources Department link .

On May 1, 2017, an Open Enrollment meeting will be held for all interested employees. The meeting will be held in the Garrett Information Enterprise Center (GIEC) at 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. in room 111. *The information provided at this meeting regarding the Wellness Incentive Participation Program will be dependent upon the outcome of negotiations. The purpose of this meeting is to provide a timeline and information on the Open Enrollment process.

During this Open Enrollment meeting the following changes to your benefits will be discussed:

  • Flexible Spending Account (Flex Benefit Administration)
  • Pharmacy Plan Changes (New carrier with new ID cards)
  • Timelines for Open Enrollment
  • *Wellness Incentive Participation Program
  • Teledoc Option
  • Questions and Answers
