Message from Northern Middle School Principal

Last Updated on Mar 9, 2017 at 7:04pm | Public Information Office

Dear Northern Middle School Community Members,
As was previously reported, there was a bomb threat at Northern Middle School discovered at around noon today. The building was evacuated and students boarded buses for transport home. The police were on site for investigation and a suspect was identified.
The staff and students of Northern Middle School did an excellent job of following through with the evacuation procedures that we regularly practice.
When students were evacuated, all their books and belongings were left in the school in their 4th period classes. Although we have received multiple phone calls concerning entry into the building this evening, no access is being granted per police directive.
Tomorrow morning upon entry to school, students will be gathered as follows:

6th grade goes to the cafeteria
7th grade goes to the library
8th grade goes to the gym
Students will be dismissed to their 4th period classes to gather their belongings before beginning the school day.
Again, the staff and students did an exceptional job in a very tense situation and I am very proud of them.
Thank you,

Mrs. DeVore,
