School Calendar Updates for January

Last Updated on Jan 11, 2017 at 9:51am | Public Information Office

Schools will be closed on Monday, January 16, 2017, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
With schools closed on January 10 for inclement weather, that pushes the end of the semester and the Professional Day, scheduled for next week, back one day.
Wednesday, January 18 is now a full day of school for students and the end of the first semester (second grading term).  Report Cards will now be distributed on Wednesday, January 25.
Thursday, January 19, will now be a professional day for staff in the afternoon with a three hour early dismissal for students.  The professional day, by contract, is a floating day, which represents the 91st day of school. Any school closings prior to this date will continue to move back the 91st day.
*If schools are delayed on January 19, then students will remain in school all day.  The three hour early dismissal would then be pushed back to Friday, January 20.
*If schools are closed on January 19, then students will be dismissed three hours early on the next full day (January 20).
Staff Development Day is still scheduled for Friday, January 27.  This will be a three hour early dismissal for students.
