National School Counseling Week is celebrated from February 1 - 5, 2016. The numerous school counseling services that are provided to GCPS students, parents, families, and school staff are commendable. These services include collaboration with school staff, families and community and agency representatives to address educational, personal and social issues and development. This includes individual, group, and classroom counseling/interventions, many aspects of character education, and assistance with programs and services that develop career and college readiness. Counseling services contribute to providing a safe and positive school environment, and assists our students to achieve success both in and out of the classroom.
