Summer Technology Camps 2014

Garrett County Public Schools will once again be sponsoring student technology camps this summer.
 
The Primary Technology Day Camp is open to any student currently in first or second grade. A total of 20 students will be selected on a first come, first served basis as applications are received. A minimum of two teachers will be involved in the instruction and direction of the camp’s activities. We would also like to encourage you to consider being a parent volunteer for the week to work with the students as they build their projects.  There will be two sessions:
 
     *June 30-July 3, 2014 — Monday thru Thursday from 9:00 a.m.—12:00 noon. This session of camp will be held at the GEARS                 Building in Accident, Maryland.
 
     *July 14-17, 2014 — Monday thru Thursday from 9:00 a.m.—12:00 noon. This session of camp will be held at Yough Glades                  Elementary School in Oakland, Maryland.
 
The Summer Technology Camp is for any current elementary school student and is invited to apply to attend any camp session. Students who apply must be in grades 3, 4, or 5 this current school year. Up to twenty-four (24) students will be accepted into each session.  There will be three sessions:
 
     *July 7-10, 2014 — Monday thru Wednesday from 9:00 a.m.—12:00 noon and Thursday from 9:00 a.m.—3:00 p.m. We will conclude      this Tech Camp on Thursday with parent program from 2:00-3:00 p.m., with the students presenting their projects and slideshows.          This session of camp will be held at the GEARS Building in Accident, Maryland.
 
     *July 14-18, 2014 — Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m.—12:00 noon. This session of camp will be held at Yough Glades                         Elementary School in Oakland, Maryland.
 
     *August 4-8, 2014 — Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m.—12:00 noon. This session of camp will be held at Grantsville Elementary           School in Grantsville, Maryland.

Applications will be accepted through June 20, 2014. Participants will be accepted on a first come-first served basis.
