GaCo Robotics to Recreate Mazes Found in Stockholm, Sweden, Prior to Autumn Glory Parade

Garrett County’s Public School Robotics Team, FRC 1629, GaCo, will be unveiling two “walk-through” mazes on Autumn Glory Saturday, October 16, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Second Street in front of Garrett County Public Schools’ Central Office Building, in downtown Oakland. The mazes are a recreation of two carpeted mazes featured in an outdoor science and math-themed playground at the Museum of Science and Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. Each maze has a special “constraint” that must be followed as part of its solution. The first fifty students completing both mazes will be presented with a commemorative “I Solved the Stockholm Mazes” Autumn Glory badge. For questions or more information email: gaco@garrettcountyschools.org.

One of the two mazes found on the grounds of the Swedish National Museum of Science and Technology (Tekniska museet) that will be recreated on Second Street, Oakland, Autumn Glory Saturday. To solve this maze, you must pass by every other red and every other blue line. GaCo will use these mazes as part of its vision for “All Students - STEM Ready.”
