Last Updated on Nov 16, 2020 at 1:36pm

The Northern Garrett High School Music Department is proud and excited to announce that Evan Beachy was selected as 1st Trombone for the National Association For Music Educator's (NAFME) All-National Honor Band. Evan auditioned for this festival in May of 2020. Thousands of students across the nation auditioned for this festival, and only the top students in each section were selected. The festival was going to take place in-person in Orlando, Florida, but will now take place virtually in January. Evan will be under the direction of Rodney Dorsey, Professor of Music at Indiana University's Jacob's School of Music. This is a tremendous honor and achievement for Evan. Not only will Evan be representing Northern Garrett High School and Garrett County Public Schools, Evan will also be representing the State of Maryland and the entire East Coast Region. Congratulations, Evan Beachy on this prestigious honor!
