Last Updated on Jul 17, 2019 at 1:30pm

Crellin Elementary School’s third, fourth, and fifth grade students were given the opportunity to participate in a weeklong Summer Arts Camp from July 8-12, 2019. Students had daily steel drum instruction and guitar lessons provided by special guests Dr. Joshua Aronson, from NYU, and his son, Leo. The week culminated with a trip to the Metropolitan Theatre in Morgantown, WV, where students attended a steel drum concert in memory of Dr. Ellie Mannette, recognized as “the father of the modern steel drum instrument”.
The camp was funded through Title IV grant funds and the Crellin PTO.
