Students from Northern and Southern High Schools participated in the 80th Annual Covestro Pittsburgh Regional Science and Engineering Fair held at Heinz Field on March 29-30, 2019. The competition was open to all students in grades 6 - 12 from the 21 counties within Western Pennsylvania and Garrett County, Maryland. This is the third oldest science fair in the United States under the affiliation of the Society for Science and the Public, which runs the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) and the Broadcom MASTERS middle school competition.
Makenna Holliday (Northern High) won a $10,000 scholarship to Mount Aloysius College, Hana Nazelrod (Southern High) won 2nd place in her category, and Sophie Bishoff (Southern High) won a sponsor award!!!
