Northern Middle School collected more than 800 pounds of food during the Kids Helping Kids Food Drive.  Sixth grader, Hailey Wildesen, place food collection boxes at her church, Katie's Beauty Shop, and her mom's work to collect food. All food was donated to the Garrett County Food Bank. Mr. Rice's homeroom won the doughnut party, sponsored by the student council, for donating the most items. Mr. Rice said, "It is wonderful to see kids giving to others. There are few things that we can control in life, but being nice and helping others is something that everyone can do to make the world a better place! I am very proud of all the students at Northern Middle and the selflessness that they demonstrate on a daily basis."
