Friendsville Elementary School Honors Veterans

Last Updated on Nov 14, 2017 at 12:01pm

Friendsville Elementary School gives honor to veterans each and every day. There is a dedicated wall in memory of those who served and/or lost their lives from the Friendsville area. The staff and students also wear red every Friday to "Remember Everyone Deployed".

On Friday, November 10, 2017, honor was given to all veterans in the area with a breakfast and a show. Veterans arrived at the school’s “Memorial Wall” and were escorted to the cafeteria by the student(s) who invited them. Students and veterans enjoyed breakfast and fellowship together.

Each class had a presentation of either a song, poem, pledge, or reading about Veterans Day.

The Veterans Day Program was the project of Ms. Whitney Rhodes (4th grade teacher) and Miss Brittany Stein (Kindergarten teacher).
