Recognitions at Board of Education Meeting on February 14, 2017

The Garrett County Board of Education made two recognitions at its meeting on Tuesday, February 14, 2017.

 Student Holiday Card Artwork – Hailey Yommer

Ms. Hailey Yommer, a senior at Northern Garrett High School, was the designer of the Christmas card which was sent from the Board of Education and the Superintendent to the employees, each Maryland school superintendent, and various county and state agencies in December 2016.  Mr. Thomas Woods, Board member, presented Hailey with the recognition.

National School Counseling Week

Mr. Matthew Paugh, Board member, recognized National School Counseling Week, February 6-10, 2017, with a Board proclamation. Ms. Sarah Carlisle, School Counselor at Broad Ford Elementary School, and Dr. Phil Lauver, Supervisor of Pupil Services, received the proclamation on behalf of all school counselors
