Northern High School's Ana Rhoten Cross Country State Champion

Southern High Boys and Northern High Girls Finish Second in the State

Ana Rhoten, a 10th grade student at Northern High School, is the Girls 1A Cross Country State Champion. On Saturday, November 12, at Hereford High School in Parkton, Maryland, she crossed the finish line first to gain the title. Northern High School girls had 5 runners in the top 25 to take state’s second place finish, behind Boonsboro High School.

Garrett County runners in the top 25 were:

#1 – Ana Rhoten, Northern High
#3 – Faith Parandhamaia, Northern High
#10 – Kylee Peck, Northern High
#15 – Samantha Swift, Southern High
#19 – Ella Rose Warnick, Northern High
#22 – Bailee Upole, Northern High.
In the Boys 1A Cross Country meet, Southern High School had 4 runners in the top 25 to finish second in the state behind Bohemian Manor High School. Northern High School boys finished 5th in the state.

#4 – Christian Jordan, Southern High
#7 – Ryan Hebb, Southern High
#14 – Zachary Warnick, Southern High
#18 – Dylan McCann, Northern High
#22 – Jakob Stolzenfels, Northern High
#23 – Jadan Lais, Northern High.
