This is the second of two district qualification events in which GaCo competed and finished the second event on the winning alliance and the recipient of the event’s Chairman’s Award.  The most prestigious award in FIRST, it honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the purpose and goals of FIRST.  Chairman Award winning teams among all seven district qualification events will compete for three District Championship Chairman’s Awards at the FIRST Chesapeake District Championship along with competing with their robots.

FRC teams earn cumulative qualification points at two district qualification events. The top 58 teams are extended an invitation to compete with their robot at the FIRST Chesapeake District Championship.
