LuAnn Klink Wins the Maryland School Nutrition Association Success Award

The Garrett County Board of Education recognized Ms. LuAnn Klink, Route 40 Elementary Food Service Employee, for winning the Maryland School Nutrition Association Rhonda Motley Gold Success Award at its October 15 meeting. Ms. LuAnn Klink won the Maryland School Nutrition Association (MSNA) Rhonda Motley Gold Success Award. She was recognized at the MSNA state conference on October 10, 2015 in Ocean City, MD. The Rhonda Motley Gold Success Award recognizes an MSNA member who has made a notable contribution to the success of the school meals program in his/her school. The award is named in honor of Rhonda Motley, who initiated the award in 1978.

MSNA’S recognition provided Ms. Klink with free registration for the MSNA’s state convention and, in addition, she will receive $1,000 toward registration and travel expenses for School Nutrition Associations (SNA)’s 2016 Annual National Conference. Ms. Klink is the first recipient from Garrett County Public Schools to win this award.
