The Garrett County Board of Education voted on January 12, 2021, to accept the Superintendent’s recommendation to remain in the “red model” in which students are learning virtually. Students will begin transitioning back to in-person learning when the Garrett County metrics are at 5% or less positivity rate and 15 or less per 100,000 for 14 consecutive days.

There have been 1,728 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Garrett County. Current metrics from the Garrett County Health Department are: 7-Day Positivity Percentage: 14.9%; 7-Day Case Rate Per 100,000: 46.3.

Home Delivered Meals

Garrett County Public Schools is offering home delivery of meals. If you have a difficult time reaching one of our food service sites during the time schools are closed, please fill out the Home Delivered Meals Google Form, and we will do everything possible to deliver meals to your home. Someone must be present to receive the food. If you have problems filling out the form, please call 1-888-285-7248 and leave a message including your name, phone number, email, number of children under 18, and address; someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Meals and delivery are provided at no cost to you for all the children 18 and under.
