Friendsville Elementary recently held its PEP Assembly for the month of March. Students were recognized for Student of the Month (Courage and Facing Challenges), On the Right Track, and a Math award. Students receiving the math award also receive a free personal pizza from Good to Go Marathon.

On April 2, a PhD student from University of Maryland's Appalachian Lab, Juliet Nagel, joined Kimb Alexander at Friendsville Elementary School to teach Pre-K through 5th grades about the wonderful world of bats. Juliet shared stories from her personal experiences of banding and catching bats.
