Summer Food Service Program for 2017

The Garrett County Board of Education is participating in the Summer Food Service Program for 2017. Meals will be provided to all children without charge.  In accordance with policies of the Garrett County Public Schools, Federal civil rights law, U. S. Department of Agriculture, and the Maryland State Department of Education, acceptance and participation requirements for the Program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. There will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. 

The Garrett County Board of Education would like to remind parents that free meals for any child 18 and under are available at the following locations and times:

Dennett Road School - 770 Dennett Road, Oakland, MD June 8th – August 25th, 2017

        Monday – Friday - Breakfast – 8:30 – 9:00    Lunch – 11:30 – 12:00

Liberty Mews - 451 Liberty Street, Oakland, MD June 12th – August 18th, 2017

        Monday – Friday - Lunch- 11:00 – 11:20

Crellin - 57 Crellin Street Crellin, MD      June 12th – August 18th, 2017

        Monday – Friday - Lunch- 11:35– 11:55

College (gym area) - June 12th – August 18th, 2017

Persons with disabilities, who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.), should contact the Agency (State or local) where they applied for benefits.  Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339.  Additionally, program information may be made available in languages, other than English.
