Students in third grade worked with Dr. Kevin Evans, Glenville College Professor, on how to use the PASCO sensor to collect data on soil samples. The lab they learned to use was created by Glenville College students specifically for the third grade students at Crellin. This lab is part of a long term research study these students will be conducting throughout the year.
Third grade students attended Southern High School for a lesson on soil and agriculture. Mr. Kisner and his class welcomed our students and provided hands on lesson to demonstrate the importance of soil.
After learning about soil Crellin students assisted SHS students with harvesting their lettuce in the greenhouse.
Harvesting lettuce in the SHS greenhouse was a new experience for Crellin students. We are very grateful for the experience!
Dr. Debbie Miller provides enrichment activities for third grade students in their classroom each week.
