Conducting a stream study to determine the health of the water.
Second grade students weight the eggs that are collected each day. They are pictured using gram weights and a balance scale.
Students also use the PASCO sensors to double check their measurements. There is always lots of excitement during this time!
The PASCO sensor program was developed specifically for the second grade research project by Dr. Kevin Evans and his students at Glenville College.
Several second grade students are now members of the CLUE Reading Club. Led by Ms. DeWitt these students will solve mysteries!
Ms. DeWitt (dresses in her finest detective clothing) roamed the school with Krista, Gracyn, and Myranda searching for clues to solve their first mystery!
After finding clues the group settled in to discuss what they found. They compared notes and determined their next steps...stay tuned for more updates on their mystery!
