Kristin Winebrenner, Art
This is Ms. Winebrenner’s 7th year of teaching Art at Broad Ford and Crellin Elementary. Before teaching in Garrett County, she taught printmaking and sculpture at Barbara Ingram School of Art in Washington County, MD and taught elementary art for 2 years in Durham Public Schools, North Carolina. Prior to teaching in public schools she taught ESL (English as a Second Language) to young students in Suwon, South Korea for a year and volunteered as a teaching assistant at Pyramid Atlantic, an arts nonprofit in the DC area. Ms. Winebrenner earned both her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Teaching degrees at Frostburg State University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, skiing, and creating art.
Laura Dahlen, Music
This is Ms. Dahlen's 19th year as a Music Teacher in Garrett County and her 9th year at Broad Ford Elementary School. Prior to coming to Broad Ford, she taught at Accident, Route 40, and Bloomington. She earned both her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from West Virginia University. In her free time, Ms. Dahlen enjoys spending time with her three children.
Heather Roth, Music (2017-2018 GCPS Teacher of The Year)
Mrs. Roth is in her 16th year teaching in Garrett County and currently teaches at Broad Ford and Crellin. Prior to coming to Broad Ford she taught at Yough Glades, Kitzmiller and Swan Meadow schools as well as serving as Assistant Band Director at Southern High School. She earned both her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from West Virginia University as well as a Post-Masters Certification in Administration from Frostburg State University. Mrs. Roth was honored to be selected as the Garrett County Teacher of the Year and Maryland Teacher of the Year Finalist in 2017-2018. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, riding her bike and coaching youth sports.

Steve Knepp, Physical Education
Mr. Knepp is now in his 15th year of teaching in Garrett County, and this is his fourth year teaching Phys. Ed. Before coming to Broad Ford, he taught at Dennett Road Elementary and Friendsville Elementary. In his spare time Mr. Knepp enjoys spending time with his family, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, and playing sports!
