Lynda Savopoulos is entering her fifth year as a teacher at BraodFord Elementary. She received her BA in early childhood education and her Masters in reading from Frostburg University. In total, this will be Mrs. Savopoulos fifth year teaching and she loves incorporating movement and music into her lessons. In her free time, she likes to cheer on The Ravens and rebuilding fast cars with her husband, Evan.
Mrs. Friend-Blythe has taught at Broad Ford for nineteen years, fifteen being in first grade. She graduated from Frostburg State University with a masters in reading. When Broad Ford opened in 1976, she was a student in the first kindergarten class. She has really enjoyed coming back as an adult and getting to work with some of her former teachers as colleagues.
Mrs. Friend-Blythe has two grandchildren, Brooklyn who is 9 and Bentley who is 3 years old. She also has two puppies, Owynn and Monroe, who are now 4 years old, and four cats! She also enjoys photography and running.

Mrs. Sweitzer has taught for twenty-one years at Broad Ford Elementary School. She began her career in Garrett County as a math specialist. She has also taught fourth and second grades. She really loves teaching first grade and has done that for twelve years.
Mrs. Sweitzer feels very blessed to be the mother of five children. She has two older sons and then three little ones that keep her very busy! Her middle child is her only daughter and her two youngest are twin boys! She also has a three year old grandson that has a very special place in her heart! She and her husband Mike live in Swanton with their three little ones. As a family they enjoy cooking, raising a garden, building things, four wheeling, and caring for all of their animals.
