The Garrett County Board of Education voted on January 12, 2021, to accept the Superintendent’s recommendation to remain in the “red model” in which students are learning virtually. Students will begin transitioning back to in-person learning when the Garrett County metrics are at 5% or less positivity rate and 15 or less per 100,000 for 14 consecutive days.

There have been 1,689 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Garrett County. Current metrics from the Garrett County Health Department are: 7-Day Positivity Percentage: 14.6%; 7-Day Case Rate Per 100,000: 51.2.

Welcome to Kindergarten! I am looking forward to working with your family this year. Here is a list of the supplies your child will need to start the year.
Please be sure to put your child’s first and last name on the following items:
* Extra clothes in a Ziploc bag (shirt, shorts, socks, underwear)
* Headphones (ear muff style)
* Backpack (without wheels and large enough to hold a binder)
* 1 plastic pencil box
* 1 pack of 8 watercolor paints
* 1 pack of Crayola washable markers
* 1 coloring book
* 1 pack of 12 colored pencils
* 4 packs of 24 Crayola crayons (1 for the beginning of each marking period)
* 8 Elmer’s glue sticks
* 1 Box of tissues
* 1 container Clorox/Lysol wipes (If you can find them!)
